What is a Board of Commissioner? A Commissioner is a Township resident who serves the Lower Merion Township community by representing their “ward” or section of the Township that elects them to office. Commissioners meet at once monthly in often long meetings to discuss detailed policy issues on our behalf. They also meet for special committee meetings like economic development, health, parks and recreation, and more. The President of the Board of Commissioners is like our town mayor. See a list of current commissioners. See committee assignments and the ward map here. 3 commissioners serve the Penn Valley neighborhood. You can contact your commissioner with local questions and concerns. Lookup your commissioner here.
