THANK YOU FOR YOUR SUPPORT!

YOUR CONTRIBUTION MAKES A DIFFERENCE.

Where your dues go...

PVCA provides a voice on common interests to the Township and School District.  Your dues fund traffic island plantings and renovations, pedestrian and environmental advocacy, the local Neighborhood Watch, membership in the Federation of Civics, community events and meetings, educational campaigns, maintaining our website, tree plantings at local schools and parks, bench donations to local parks, neighborhood infrastructure like historic PV signs, and basic administrative expenses that ensure our viability as a community organization including our website which doubles as a valuable educational resource on ecological land stewardship. Even small donations help us to meet our expenses.  Please join us to keep Penn Valley strong!

PVCA hosted the first Penn Valley Community Fair in our business district - 2022! Thanks to Staples, Max Berger, and FT Builders for their additional support.

PVCA commissioned and sponsored this 2018 mural to beautify the business district and highlight the beauty and conservation of our local flora and fauna. Thanks to amazing local artist, Eurhi Jones, and all of the donors who helped to make this possible!

Penn Valley Civic collaborated with Township Public Works to negotiate new edge line striping along Hagys Ford Rd. Narrowing of the roadway naturally slows vehicles and provides a margin of safety for pedestrians and cyclists. We would also like to see safety improvements at the intersection of Hagys Ford and Righters Mill as well as a crosswalk for children across Old Gulph Rd at Hagys Ford. Other priorities for the Civic include advocating for safer pedestrian crossings in the Penn Valley business district and improved walkability in general. Pedestrian/cyclist safety is a priority for our neighborhood. Please drive slowly and remember to share the roadways. Let's keep each other safe.

We donate benches to local parks. You can find this one in our own West Mill Creek Park. Another is at the General Wayne Park playground.

PVCA owns and cares for historic Penn Valley signs located at entrances to our neighborhood. Your dues helped to fund brand new, white aluminum, powder coated backings to replace deteriorating older ones. Thanks to LMTS Public Works for installing them in January.

Funding the civic allows us to obtain pedestrian safety improvements like this one (recently installed on Margo Lane) by the Lower Merion School District at our request.

Your dues purchased the kit to build the first Little Free Library in Penn Valley. We're pleased to see all of the books coming and going! Read more about the team effort that made this happen here.

PVCA purchases trees to plant by volunteers in the community. Civic members dig a hole for a chestnut oak here at Pencoyd Park in Penn Valley. Volunteers also planted 4 native serviceberries as part of the new Penn Valley Tree Tenders group in spring of 2021.
