Where your dues go...
PVCA provides a voice on common interests to the Township and School District. Your dues fund traffic island plantings and renovations, pedestrian and environmental advocacy, the local Neighborhood Watch, community events and meetings, educational campaigns, maintaining our website, tree plantings at local schools, bench donations to local parks, and neighborhood infrastructure like historic PV signs and more. Please join us to keep Penn Valley strong!
We donate benches to local parks. You can find this one in our own West Mill Creek Park. Another is at the General Wayne Park playground.
PVCA owns and cares for historic Penn Valley signs located at entrances to our neighborhood. Your dues helped to fund brand new, white aluminum, powder coated backings to replace deteriorating older ones. Thanks to LMTS Public Works for installing them in January.
Funding the civic allows us to obtain pedestrian safety improvements like this one (recently installed on Margo Lane) by the Lower Merion School District at our request.
Dues sponsor community activities like the 1st annual Picnic in the Park on this field at Penn Valley Elementary.
Your dues purchased the kit to build the first Little Free Library in Penn Valley. We're pleased to see all of the books coming and going! Read more about the team effort that made this happen here.
Your dues fund traffic island planting and maintenance. New efforts have been underway for the past year to thoughtfully plant these spaces with native perennials for the enjoyment of wildlife and residents alike. Consider donating to help purchase plants so that we can renovate our 3rd traffic island at Centennial and Righters Mill this year. More information on triangle plantings here.
