traffic islands
Help beautify our common green spaces by enhancing the gardens at traffic islands throughout Penn Valley. Send an email to pennvalleycivic@gmail.com. We would like to find a neighborhood volunteer to help maintain the traffic island at Centennial and Righters Mill Road. A BIG thanks to current garden volunteers Kris Prendergast, Ellen Briggs, Janet Krafchik, June Lauer, Stefanie Langer, Danielle Chacko and Michelle Detwiler.
historic penn valley signs
A big thanks to volunteers Jen Kelly, Michelle Detwiler and Nicole Herman who helped clean our historic signs in the winter of 2016. We've since installed new, long-lasting powder-coated aluminum backings to replace the deteriorating corrugated plastic. Your dues helped pay for these improvements. Thank you!
pedestrian safety committee
The Penn Valley Pedestrian Safety Committee was formed in October of 2015 to help coordinate pedestrian friendly improvements around Penn Valley Elementary and Welsh Valley Middle School. Thank you to the members of the committee for providing valuable input into our efforts to improve road safety.
